NB: fees may vary depending on circumstances. Our immigration lawyers and migration agents may choose to waive their fees (subject to meeting the eligibility for pro bono) or it may be higher fees, for example, where additional resources are required (typically with partner visas & complex matters)

What happens during a MPS?

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will identify relevant issues and assist in curating several pathways for your selection.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents are highly trained and have an understanding of all aspects of Immigration Law, policy and departmental practices, allowing them to identify relevant facts to question and take into consideration your expectations.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents are trained to adopt an orderly approach to elicit information, check with you and your records to clarify information, ensuring we provide you with the most accurate advice.

  • Depending on the pathways identified, our immigration lawyers and migration agents will provide you with an information booklet and/or any other relevant documentation for your record.

What to expect during a MPS?

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will ask you a range of questions to gather information, analyse and identify relevant issues, laws, and policies.

  • Once our immigration lawyers and migration agents have factored in all information provided by you, they will distinguish realistic and unrealistic expectations and decide whether your case can be solved with appropriate option/s.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will identify immediate available options including appropriate legal actions and other course of actions.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will communicate clearly to you the factors relevant to:

    • choosing between available options, and

    • a course of action, and

    • consequences of each option, including procedural requirements, costs, timeframes and the dynamic nature of the immigration law.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will check that you understand the advice provided and review any resources available to you to undertake the various options.

  • Our immigration lawyers and migration agents will advise on and recommend interim actions in light of your responses.

How are the MPSs conducted?

  • In person

How long is the MPS?

  • It will generally take you 15-20 minutes to settle in, during which we will collect your general information and explain how the MPS will proceed.

  • Thereafter, you can expect approximately 50 minutes of chat with our immigration lawyers and/or migration agents.

Can I hire 2 Accredited Specialists Immigration Lawyers?

  • If your case is extremely complex and technical, you may engage both of the Accredited Specialists.

  • Our clients have reported that having a strong foundation at the outset of their case will save them more money in the long run.

  • We offer a $330 discount (incl. GST) should you wish to engage 2 of the 56 Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law (NSW) simultaneously for your session.

What happens after the MPS? Can I ask for a written summary/advice & hourly rates?

  • Generally, at our lawyers’ discretion, we can write to you to reiterate the session and, upon request, include topics that our discussion may not have led us to explore.

    • Clients may request a written summary of the advice discussed during the MPS consultation. Written summaries are provided as an additional service and are charged based on the time spent preparing the document. Fees are calculated according to the hourly rate of the lawyer preparing the summary.

    • As the scope and complexity of each matter differ, we are unable to provide a fixed fee for written summaries in advance. Clients are encouraged to enquire about the applicable hourly rate when booking their consultation.

  • For time-sensitive cases, we offer a complimentary follow-up service, as it takes time to prepare your case and for you to gather supporting information. Please let us know if you wish to opt out of this service.

  • In respect of other matters, our immigration lawyers and migration agents will respond promptly and as appropriate.

Will the MPS be recorded?

The MPS may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Please advise if you do not want this to be recorded. Please note that recordings may be kept for law enforcement reasons. By attending the MPS, the client agrees to the following:

  • Personal identifiable information of the client may be heard, seen, read, collected, or used by Agape Henry Crux as the organiser;

  • Any communication or information transmitted during the MPS, such as voice, instant messages, or a visa grant/refusal letter, is available to, and may be recorded and further used by, Agape Henry Crux as the organiser.

What if I want to reschedule or cancel the MPS?

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for your cancellation.  Please notify us by 12 PM one (1) day before your scheduled MPS of any changes or cancellations. If no prior notice is given, or if notice is not provided within the minimum notice period, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee for the missed appointment. Refunds cannot be made in any circumstance once the MPS is completed.

In addition, the Code of Conduct is intended to regulate the conduct of Registered Migration Agents (“RMAs”) by introducing a proper standard for the conduct of business and establishing the minimum attributes and abilities that a person must demonstrate to perform as an RMA.
