Ian is an Associate at Agape Henry Crux. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing (with Distinction), as well as a Master of Commerce (with High Distinction) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He ranked first in his postgraduate cohort and was the sole recipient of the UNSW Postgraduate Dean’s List in his stream.

Ian began his career in commercial and litigation law before gradually expanding into immigration law to meet his clients’ evolving needs. His diverse experience spans commercial law firms, international consulting, community legal centres, and roles in Australia, Vietnam, and Singapore—including Vietnam Silicon Valley and the private law firm founded by Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Ian’s global experience has sharpened his cross-cultural insight, allowing him to skilfully bridge cultural gaps and connect authentically with clients from all walks of life as they navigate complex migration challenges.

Ian enjoys tackling tough visa challenges. Among his achievements, he secured Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) for a leading Australian construction firm in voluntary administration, advised franchisors and franchisees on complex corporate immigration issues, and overturned a visa cancellation without going to tribunal.
