Updates for Ministry of Immigration of Australia
Following the Australian federal election on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese unveiled the cabinet, marking the commencement of his second term.
There have been no significant changes to the ministry in relation to the Immigration and Citizenship portfolio.
The Hon Tony Burke MP is the Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Minister for Cyber Security and Minister for the Arts.
The Hon Matt Thistlethwaite MP is the Assistant Minister for Immigration and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Hon Julian Hill MP remains as the Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs and Assistant Minister for International Education.
