Closure of South Australia’s 2024-25 GSM Program ROIs
South Australia has announced the closure of its skilled migration Registration of Interest (ROI) applications for onshore applicants for the 2024-2025 program year. What does this for you as an applicant?
The ROI applicants for skilled migration from individuals currently residing in Australia have officially closed, so no new onshore applicants can submit for the current program year.
For those who started an ROI in the online system but did not submit it, these incomplete applications will be deleted. Those who have already submitted their ROIs can expect to have them processed by 30 June 2025.
South Australia received an overwhelming response, with more than 16,000 ROIs and over 40,000 Expressions of Interests (EOI) from offshore applicants. This significantly exceeds the available nomination allocation of 3,800 places for this 2024-25 financial year.
While the onshore ROI window has closed, offshore applicants still have the opportunity to continue to submit their SkillSelect EOI. Successful candidates will receive a direct invitation to apply for South Australian state nomination, offering them a chance to live and work.
