Special Humanitarian Program (SC202) Can Lodge Online
Starting 1 July 2025, the process for lodging the Global Special Humanitarian (Subclass 202) Visa under the Special Humanitarian Program (SHP) will transition to an online format reflecting the new changed from the Migration (Arrangements for Protection, Refugee and Humanitarian Visas) Amendment (Internet Lodgement) Instrument 2025.
What are the Key Changes to the Global Special Humanitarian (SC202) Visa Lodgement Process?
SC202 visa applicants must submit their applications online using ImmiAccount. This requires completing form 842 and form 681 electronically.
Online submissions through ImmiAccount will provide an immediate acknowledgment letter, to confirm receipt and starting the visa processing phase.
The Proposal form must be submitted before the related Application form.
Upon submission, proposers receive a Transaction Reference Number (TRN), which links the Proposal and Application forms within ImmiAccount.
Alternatively, if an internet application is not feasible, and obtained a written authorisation from the Department, applicants may submit paper forms 842 and form 681 by post.
