Parent Visa Queue Release Dates Released for 2021

In June 2021, the Australian Government announced Parent visa queue release dates for final processing:

  • Contributory Parent Subclass 143 Visa applications

    • Queue date up to May 2016

  • Parent Subclass 103 visa

    • Queue date up to October 2010

  • Aged Parent Subclass 804 visa

    • Queue date up to December 2012

Due to visa application trends from 2016, it is predicted that the Department will commence processing contributory parent visas (Subclass 143, 173, 864, and 884) from June 2016 at the end of 2021.

Definitive Processing Times Not Available for Parent Visas

As Contributory Parent, Parent and Aged parent visas are subject to capping and queuing, processing times may often vary due to numerous factors such as:

  • Shifts in planning levels

  • The number of visa applications submitted

  • The number of visa applications withdrawn or refused

  • Remittals to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal

  • Ministerial Intervention cases

  • Shifts to processing directions

 

Current Government estimates for lodgment of visas that meet the criteria

  • Contributory Parent

    • Minimum 64 months to be released for final processing

  • New Parent and Aged Parent

    • Minimum 30 years for final processing
