How to Get Subclass 482 visa FAST? New Ministerial Direction Introduced

On 26 March 2019, Ministerial Direction No 82 was introduced to replace the previous Direction No 77 for the legal basis of priority allocation for Subclass 482 and 457 applications.

Previously, Ministerial Direction No 77, in summary, provided priority processing for applications under Standard Business Sponsors with accredited status. The current ministerial direction takes into consideration all other types of applications which might need priority consideration to ensure that the visa program is responsive to the needs within the market.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Previously, priority was provided only to those applications lodged by Accredited Sponsors. Now, the Department of Home Affairs places priority to Global Talent Schemes and positions in regional areas before prioritizing positions with Accredited Sponsors. This marks another response to their movement to encourage migrants to move to regional areas. If you want to get a Subclass 482 visa fast, consider finding a sponsor in a regional area of Australia.

See list of eligible regional areas under the TSS (482) program.
