Import Paper Parent Visa Applications into ImmiAccount

The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has introduced a new feature through the online platform, ImmiAccount to support Parent visa applicants. This new feature has been implemented since 2 April 2025

Applicants must use paper forms to lodge the application for most parent visa applications, which include the following:

With this new feature, applicants can now import their parent visa application into ImmiAccount for better accessibility. This feature also includes applicants to:

  • Upload additional documents to your application

  • View correspondence from the Department

  • Update applicant details

  • Check the current status of the application

This updated functionality can be used for newly lodged and existing applications, regardless of when they were submitted. However, Parent (Subclass 103) visa applications lodged before November 2018 cannot be imported into ImmiAccount

How do I Import My Parent Visa Application to ImmiAccount?

After submitting the paper application, and once receiving the acknowledgement letter, you can then import your parent visa application into your ImmiAccount by following these steps:

  1. Create a new ImmiAccount or log into your existing ImmiAccount.

  2. Once you are logged into your ImmiAccount, import your application by entering your:

    1. Application ID

    2. Date of Birth (D.O.B.)

    3. Identity document number (ImmiCard, Passport or Titre de Voyage number)

  3. It is just that simple! Your application can now be seen in ImmiAccount. You can make changes to your application, attach documents, apply for a Bridging Visa (BV), and more.
