ACT Skilled Migration Nomination Invitation Round – May 2025

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) conducted the skilled migration nomination invitation round on 30 May 2025 as part of its ongoing commitment to bring in skilled migrants to the region. During this round, a total of 183 nominations were issued for the Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190), and 4 nominations were issued for the Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491).  

 

What is the ACT Skilled Migration Nomination Invitations Breakdown? 

 For Canberra residents: 

  • Matrix Nominating Small Business Owners: 

    • SC190 Nominations: 3 invitations issued (minimum matrix score of 130) 

    • SC491 Nominations: No invitations issued (minimum matrix score of 120) 

  • Matrix Nomination SC457/482 Visa Holders:  

    • SC190 Nominations: 42 invitations issued 

    • SC491 Nominations: 4 invitations issued 

  • Matrix Nominating Critical Skill Occupations: 

    • SC190 Nominations: 126 invitations issued 

    • SC491 Nominations: No invitations issued 

For Overseas Applicants: 

  • Matrix Nominating Critical Skill Occupations: 

    • SC190 Nominations: 12 invitations issued 

    • SC491 Nominations: No invitations issued 

As of this invitation round, the remaining allocation for ACT nomination in the 2024/25 program year is as follows: 

  • Total allocation remaining: 166 nomination places out of a total of 1,800 

    • SC190 Nominations: 112 out of 1,000 places remaining 

    • SC491 Nominations: 54 out of 800 places remaining
