TRA Temporarily Pauses for OSAP and SC482 Registration (14 – 29 March 2026)

The Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) has announced a temporary pause to registrations for the Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) and the Skills in Demand (Subclass 482) Skills Assessment Program from 14 March 2026 to 29 March 2026. Registration will reopen on 30 March 2026.

The pause supports a system upgrade to implement a refreshed panel of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that will deliver assessment services on behalf of TRA. To enable the update, the RTO Finder function has been temporarily removed while new RTO providers are added.

What does this mean for TRA Applicants?

  • Applicants cannot register for OSAP or SC482 between the dates mentioned above. They can plan to lodge for new registrations from 30 March 2026 onward.

  • TRA will continue to accept payments for OSAP and SC482 applications already in progress until 29 March 2026, so applicants can finalise and progress existing assessments during the upgrade window.

  • The RTO Finder is unavailable during the update period. RTO choices will be refreshed when registrations reopen.

What are Your Recommended Next Steps?

  • If you need to start a new OSAP or SC482 registration, schedule it for 30 March 2026 or later.

  • If you already have an application in progress, ensure payment and required documents are submitted by 29 March 2026.
