What Evidence Do You Need for a Health Waiver for PIC4007?
Finding out that you or a family member has failed a visa health requirement is a crushing moment. In the eyes of Australian migration law, an ongoing illness or disability is often viewed through a single lens of financial cost.
The Department currently uses a significant cost threshold of roughly AUD 86,000. If the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) predicts based on a hypothetical patient that your treatment or community support will cost more than this over a 10-year period, your visa will likely be refused under the one-fail, all-fail rule.
However, if your visa subclass falls under Public Interest Criteria (PIC) 4007, you are eligible to request a health waiver. Although it is a complex visa issue, this is your chance to address the Department's concerns with strong evidence for your health waiver.

Why Engage with an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law?
Requesting a health waiver is not a simple exercise. It is a complex legal battle that requires a good balance of medical interpretation and migration law strategy. A single poorly phrased doctor’s note may trigger a visa refusal. If that happens, your only recourse is a long, expensive, and stressful appeal at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART).
At Agape Henry Crux, our Accredited Specialists can assist you if you have any ongoing health issue, such as diabetes, a heart issue, or autism, by auditing your eligibility and preparing a legal submission, along with your supporting evidence, to present your story as a professional argument that addresses all of the Department’s concerns.
