Nov 2025 SC189 Invitation Round Snapshot – Skilled Independent Visa
The Department of Home Affairs announced the highly anticipated invitation round for the Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) visa (point-tested stream) on 13 November 2025. Congratulations to those who received their invitation this round! For those who missed out this round provides insights into the points thresholds and occupations that received invitations, offering guidance for prospective skilled migrants.
The November 2025 round saw invitations issued across a diverse range of skilled occupations. Points range from 50 to 120 for highly competitive fields. This indicates that while top scores remain highly competitive, opportunities may exist for those with lower, but still eligible, points, depending on their occupation.
What Occupations were Invited for Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) Visa?
Engineering and Management Professionals
Construction Project Manager (133111): Invited from 70 to 95 points.
Engineering Manager (133211): Similar to Received invitations for scores between 85 and 95 points.
Child Care Centre Manager (134111): Invited for scores between 70 and 80 points.
Primary Health Organisation Manager (134213): Scores between 85 and 90 points received invitations.
Arts Administrator or Manager (139911): Invited for scores between 85 and 95 points.
Environmental Manager (139912): Invited for scores from 85 to 95 points.
Healthcare Professionals
Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teacher (241111) & Secondary School Teacher (241411): Invited from 60 points, with significant numbers for Early Childhood Teachers at 85 points and Secondary Teachers at 80 points.
Registered Nurse (Various Specialisations): A very high volume of invitations across almost all specialisations, starting from 60 or 65 points.
General Practitioner (253111): Invited from 60 points to 100 points, with 118 EOIs invited at 80 points.
Physiotherapist (252511): Invited from a range of 60 points to 95 points. High volume of EOIs at 75 points and 80 points.
Medical Diagnostic Radiographer (251211): Invited from 70 to 90 points.
Occupational Therapist (252411): Invited from 65 to 90 points.
Other medical specialists (Cardiologists, Oncologists, Surgeons, Psychiatrists, etc.) were invited at various points, generally between 75 and 90 points.
Accounting, Finance and Business
Accountant (General) (221111): Invited from 60 to 95 points.
Actuary (224111): Received invitations from 85 to 95 points.
Management Consultant (224711): Invited from 85 to 100 points.
Solicitor (271311): Received invitations for scores from 85 to 95 points.
ICT Professionals
ICT Business Analyst (261111): Invited from 70 to 100 points.
Software Engineer (261313): Received invitation scores from 85 to 100 points.
Systems Analyst (261112): Invited from 70 to 95 points.
Other ICT roles, such as Analyst Programmer, Developer Programmer, ICT Security Specialist, and Network Engineers, were invited.
Trades and Constructions
Carpenter (331212): Invited from 50 to 80 points, with 311 EOIs at 65 points and 212 at 70 points.
Painting Trades Worker (332211): Invited from 55 to 85 points.
Electrician (General) (341111): Received invitations from 55 to 80 points, with 56 EOIs at 65 points.
Bricklayer (331111): Invited from 65 points.
Metal Fabricator (322311) & Welder (First Class) (322313): Invited from 55-65 points up to 85-95 points.
Plumber (General) (334111): Invited from 65 points.
Chef (351311): Invited from 75 to 90 points.
While aiming for high is always good, this round shows that points between 50-80 can lead to invitations for many critical occupations.
