Exciting news for eligible Tuvaluan citizens! The first ballot for the Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) (Subclass 192) new Treaty Stream is set to open for registrations on 16 June 2025. This provides a unique opportunity for Tuvaluan citizens to move to Australia either temporarily or indefinitely, with the freedom to work and study without restrictions.
What are the Important Details of the Treaty Stream?
To make a valid visa application under the SC192 Treaty Stream, primary applicants must be selected through a ballot process.
The registration for the first ballot opens on 16 June 2025 and closes on 18 July 2025.
After the ballot closes, the Department will conduct a random selection to determine eligible participants.
Successful candidates will receive an email invitation containing detailed instructions on applying for the visa and the application deadline.
Chosen individuals will see their application status as “Selected” on their ImmiAccount. Those that were not chosen will have their status marked as “Received”.
The introduction of the Treaty Stream within the SC192 visa allows up to 280 Tuvaluan citizens annually to benefit from this pathway to build a life in Australia.
