Work and Holiday Visa (SC462) Ballot Registration Opens for China, India, and Vietnam (June - July 2025)
Exciting news for passport holders from China, India, and Vietnam! The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has announced the visa ballot process for the 2025-2026 program year. As of 24 June 2025, ballot registrations are open for applicants from China, India, and Vietnam who wish to travel, visit, and work in Australia on the Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) Visa (WHV).
What Must I Know Before I Apply for the WHV (SC462) Ballot?
The ballot selection for the WHV (Subclass 462) is at random; successful applicants who are selected will be notified by DoHA.
Key Dates to Remember:
Registration Period: 24 June 2025 to 15 July 2025
First Random Selection: 16 July 2025
After the initial selection, the Department will continue to conduct random selections throughout the program year, with all registrations expiring on 30 April 30 2026. Future selection dates will be published on the Department’s website after they occur.
