2025–26 Skilled Migration State Nomination Updates: SA, ACT & TAS
We have some updated information on the current 2025-26 skilled migration programs year for the Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491) visa in South Australia (SA), Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Tasmania (TAS).
South Australia Skilled Migration Update (February 2026)
The SA Government issued new nomination invitations in February 2026.
Subclass 190 visa: 227 nomination invitations
Subclass 491 visa: 137 nomination invitations
The total invitations issued so far for SA in the 2025-26 program year is 837 nominations for SC190 visa and 458 nominations for SC491 visa. Since SA confirmed that invitation rounds will continue monthly, the next round is expected in early March 2026.
ACT Skilled Migration Nomination Round
The ACT Government conducted a skilled migration invitation round on 29 January 2026. ACT issued a total of 246 nominations for the SC190 visa and 237 nominations for the SC491 visa. To break it down further:

SC190 visa: 26 invitations
SC49 visa1: 1 invitation
Canberra Residents – Small Business Owners
SC190 visa: 17 invitations (minimum Matrix score 105)
SC491 visa: 16 invitations (minimum Matrix score 95)
Canberra Residents – Subclass 457 / 482 Visa Holders
SC190 visa: 49 invitations
SC491 visa: 20 invitations
Canberra Residents – Critical Skill Occupations
SC190 visa: 123 invitations
SC491 visa: 140 invitations
Overseas Applicants – Critical Skill Occupations
SC190 visa: 31 invitations
SC491 visa: 60 invitations
The ACT continues to prioritise applicants under Critical Skill Occupations and employer-linked pathways.

Tasmania provides weekly updates on its nomination activity.
